November 2012 Press Release: Impact100 Sonoma Schedules Holiday Reception

Impact100 Sonoma is hosting a holiday reception on Thursday, December 6 from 4 to 6 pm at the Sonoma Golf Club, 17700 Arnold Drive. Current members and women interested in joining Impact100 Sonoma are invited to attend to learn more about the organization’s plans for 2013 and to hear from the 2012 Impact100 grant finalists.

This festive event provides an ideal opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of 2012 that culminated in the awarding of $195,000 in grants to the nonprofits in Sonoma Valley. Attendees will enjoy the company of fellow members and prospective members, enjoy holiday refreshments, and hear updates from the leadership of the organizations that were the 2012 finalists for the $100,000 Impact Grant: the Sonoma Community Center and Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance.

Impact100 Sonoma is a philanthropic organization that brings together at least 100 women in a common purpose: to award an Impact Grant of $100,000 every year to a Sonoma Valley nonprofit organization. Impact100 Sonoma has raised a total of $462,000 for Sonoma Valley nonprofits since its founding in 2009. The organization’s mission is to increase the number of women involved in local philanthropy, raise awareness of the unmet needs of nonprofits in Sonoma Valley, encourage members to become more involved with local charities, and make an impact on the long-term sustainability of Sonoma Valley’s nonprofit community
