Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley is seeking volunteers for their Reading Buddies Program. Adults Read with a first-third grader or small group for one hour per week. Volunteer opportunities are Monday through Friday 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the Maxwell Park Clubhouse, or any of our school site locations (Sassarini, Dunbar, or Flowery). All adult volunteers must participate in a volunteer orientation and go through a background check. Meals on Wheels is seeking a regular driver (Fridays), and relief drivers (Monday, Tuesday and Fridays) to deliver meals from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, to Sonoma Valley seniors. Shoppers also needed. Please contact Hunt Sharp, Driver Coordinator at: 707-996-2243 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sonoma Overnight Support (SOS) is looking for volunteers to assist with set up and after event clean up for their Tea for Two event scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, October 18th at Burlingame Hall in Sonoma. SOS is also hoping to borrow several plain 8 cup tea pots (such as a Brown Betty or a similar type of tea pot).
