Impact100 Sonoma is a philanthropic organization started in August 2009 that brings together at least 100 women in a common purpose: to award an impact grant of $100,000 every year to a Sonoma Valley nonprofit organization that would otherwise not have access to this level of funding. Last year, the 228 Impact100 members, voted to award the $100,000 Impact Grant to the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation to fund SmartStart a preschool program at Sassarini Elementary School. The organization also awarded two finalist grants of $20,000 to Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation and WillMar Family Grief & Healing Center as finalists for the $100,000 grant, as well as eight Community Grants totaling $68,000. Since its inception, the organization has awarded $690,000 to 32 Sonoma Valley nonprofits.
