July 10, 2013 Press Release: Impact100 Sonoma Welcomes New Board Members

Sonoma, CA—July 10, 2013

Impact100 Sonoma’s Board of Directors recently elected three new Board members:

Celia CanfieldCelia Canfield will serve as the Executive Vice President of Impact100.  She is a skilled communications expert with over 30 years of print and Web publishing experience. In 2007, she established a sustainability consultancy firm, EcoVertex, and serves on the board of several organizations that are focused on creating a clean energy economy. In 2010, Celia helped to found Green Energy Agents – a program to help youth groups earn money, save energy and raise awareness by selling home efficiency products in their communities. Celia joined Impact100 in 2010 and served on the first Community Grants committee.  In 2012 and 2013, she was the co-chair of the Women and Girls Focus Area Committee.

Grace MeeksGrace Meeks will chair the $100,000 Impact Grant program. Grace received her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas, Austin and then worked for a variety of architectural firms in Texas and California before starting Architects Nash and Nash with her sister in 2005. Grace has a long volunteer history as a member of Junior League, first in San Diego in 1989, then in Houston, and finally in Napa/Sonoma. She served as a board member of the Sonoma Ecology Center from 2010-2012.  Grace is a Founding Member of Impact100 Sonoma and served as Co-Chair for the Social Outreach Grant Committee in 2012.

Jeanne Montague Jeanne Montague will serve as Assistant Treasurer of Impact100 Sonoma. Jeanne has over 25 years of experience in corporate finance.  She is a Founding Partner at Barnard/Montague Capital Advisors, a FINRA registered broker- dealer investment bank headquartered in San Francisco. Approximately 1/3 of her client base is involved in food and beverage covering all facets from agricultural production through food processing and marketing. She received her BA in International Relations from Connecticut College and her MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business. Jeanne joined Impact 100 in 2010 when she moved to Sonoma.  She has been a member of the Events committee and served as a Membership volunteer, from 2011-2013.

Additionally, Beth Aaron, Patti England, and Geralyne Mahoney retire after four years of service on the Board, most recently in the positions of Co-Chair of Events, Chair of Impact100 Grant Program, and Vice President of Governance, respectively.  Sydney Randazzo will take over as the new President of Impact100 Sonoma and B.J. Bischoff will remain on the Board to serve as Past President and Secretary

Impact100 Sonoma is a philanthropic organization started in August 2009 that brings together at least 100 women in a common purpose: to award an Impact Grant of $100,000 every year to a Sonoma Valley nonprofit organization that would otherwise not have access to that level of funding. Over the course of its four-year history, Impact100 Sonoma has awarded $690,000 in grants to support 33 different programs of non-profit organizations serving the Sonoma Valley.
