Rabobank donates computers to Sonoma Valley Teen Services

Rabobank at SVTSSonoma Branch Rabobankers donated 20 desktop computers to replace seven-year-old computers in the Valley of the Moon Teen Center. This donation benefits the teens who use the computer lab to complete homework assignments, college applications, and resumes as well as to connect with friends and family in Sonoma and Mexico. Many of the teens don’t have access to computers in their homes.  The computer lab is managed by teen center coordinator, James Cardenas, from 3- 7  p.m. every weeknight.

The Sonoma Branch Rabobankers (see image above) came to the Valley of the Moon Teen Center to see the new computers that were installed, updated with new software, printer networked and connected to the internet by volunteer, Chai Intarapravich of Chai’s Gourmet Foods. Chai also donated Quick Books software to the computer lab for use by SVTS’s teen-run businesses the Lovin’ Oven and Operation Bicycle Programs, programs that benefited greatly from the $100,000 grant received from Impact100 Sonoma in 2011.
